The Doors Exhibition
An exhibition at BBH London.
Six framed giclee prints on 300gsm archival paper, tape, door handles.
We were intrigued by the “mystery” door incorporated into the BBH exhibition wall – an inaccessible door that is never opened, part way along the exhibition space. We started to wonder what might be behind the door and this led to the idea for the exhibition – a series of new works exploring the idea of a row of doors, each using the frame of a print to suggest a door window pane and the print itself giving clues as to what might be behind it. The “fake” doors were drawn in tape onto the wall to match the dimensions of the real existing one, and a door knob fixed to each to create the effect of a corridor of fictional entrances.
